If a picture is worth a thousand words, an icon can make you or break you. In the 10 days since this site launched we’ve seen some interesting activity.

This is just the beginning.

Soon the budget battle will commence in earnest, and all the stunt proposals and grandstanding will be replaced by new stunt proposals and grandstanding. We’ll be watching.

We still haven’t touched on Representative Kelsey’s past “achievements”. So much work, so little time.

This is Representative Brian Kelsey. He “represents” House District 83, serving Germantown and parts of Memphis. Since 2005, with only token opposition, if any, Young Mr. Kelsey has distinguished himself by working to become the Stacey Campfield of west Tennessee, filing stunt bills and feigning mock outrage for his own benefit.

It started out so differently. The candidate that Germantown residents thought was a fresh young and intelligent face. Who had distinguished himself throughout his education and is a member of a long time Shelby County family. Who talked about fiscal responsibility and has even turned down state money for his district based on that principle. A person we all though had so much promise. How does this person make a conscious decision to be a statewide joke?

Between the stunts, the ethical lapses, and the “there’s no crying in baseball” sissy boy whining after the election of a Republican House Speaker, just not HIS Republican House Speaker, this January, Kelsey has chosen to be a circus act rather than a legislator.

This is not the kind of representation that HD-83 needs.

Between now and the election day 2010, the writers and supporters of this site dedicate themselves to ensuring that Representative Kelsey is exposed for the fraud he is, and eventually, replaced.

This is NOT an April Fool’s joke. The only fool is Brian Kelsey.
